By this point the children have started to arrive. This is probably my Aunt Louise of Aunt Rosie. Thomas Ross looks pissed off at life in general. Pissed off that he's got mouths to feed. Pissed off that he didn't get a fair shake in this life, dammit.
Am I reading things into this picture? Nah. Look at that mug again, up close. Even at such low resolution, you can see the scorn.
