Few avenues for desecration are as broad or appealing as sexuality. You might opt out of drugs and booze and violence, but you're unlikely to remain untouched by sex. It's staring you in the face once you hit the street. Our animal nature makes us fundamental sexual creatures, just as we are fundamentally social ones, and this makes us open to desecrations and deformations of all kinds. These can keep us from developing a healthy socio-sexual identity: a sense, for ourselves and others, of how our sexual nature fits into the broader whole of human society. 

 
I'm not here to make arguments about what comprises a healthy socio-sexual identity, though I do think that several hundred million years of evolution make this pretty clear. I'm here to talk about how screwed up I was on sexuality, about my own desecrations and deformations. 

It's not a pretty story and I had a hard time talking about it in front of the camera, knowing that strangers like you would be seeing it. But I figured if I was going to confess on screen like this, I might as well go whole hog.
