Good news came on June 10, 1955: the above-certified parole on the juvenile charges that earned him the label of New Jersey State Prisoner No. 29888.
He also got retroactive parole for escape. There's a nice letter from the parole board clarifying the situation, as well as a discharge notice.
But sweetest of all, I'm sure, was the piece of paper that let him put the label of New Jersey State Prisoner No. 30786 behind him:
