OCTET IN PRAISE OF EARTH'S PERFUME
Lately I've been making little films, most of them variations on the home movie. They typically take place in "found environments"––a fancy name for the circumstances that surround you. Which makes perfect sense to me, because we spend 100% of our lives in the circumstances that surround us. We might as well make movies there, right? Movies are a form of writing to me, I just do it without using the alphabet. This one features the boys, who were exceptionally cooperative. In exchange for their cooperation, they got to play in dirt. Fair deal.
