Words would ruin this. Written ones, I mean. 

Proving, once again, that I didn't really know the guy. Once again, that the imagination fills in memory's gaps. 

Maybe it was good for everybody involved (me, my brother Tom, our dad) for me to pass these objects on. If my father's spirit was somehow entrapped in them, I'm sure he'll be glad to have new scenery to look at.
